The point of my post is that anyone can find such coincidences if they look for them.

A similar project -- that I might imagine is at odds with the Qaran -- is the Bible Code (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bible_code). They found a whole bunch of predictions in the Torah. Actually, they were postdictions... predictions after the event. Not very impressive. And to show how ridiculous it is, they did the same exercise with "Moby Dick", and found lots of postdictions there too.

The Qaran does not predict the big bang. The related text is far too vague. It's yet another example of fitting loose text to known events.

If the Qaran really predicts things, then find some text in the Qaran that predicts an event that hasn't happened yet, and tell me when it's going to happen. Or extract from the Qaran some text that leads directly to a new scientific discovery. Not a discovery that is in the past. A NEW discovery that has not been made YET.

Do that a few times, and then I'll be impressed.

OK Challenge accepted, how about the "Day of Judgement" synonymous with "cataclysm" or "apocalypse"(this is the prediction). And that is my point. It's part of the Unseen Test, one where you must be a believer to pass. Now if you dont believe in the last day, then you wont be successful on that day. A good sceptic would make the miniscule sacrifice to reap eternal rewards (sceptic of the devil's promises). A poor sceptic would be sceptic of Gods words, and actually follow the devil into materialism and failed theories like the one where it was proposed the universe is an eternal constant(the title escapes the tip of my tongue).

God knows you exist, that is why he specifically mentioned YOU as the subject. Each of these verses have limitless and sound implications. the second part about water tells all about darwin and evolution in a nutshell.
The quran isnt some magic harry potter Nostradamus sooth sayer book. It' a book of warning and admonition, it contains stories of great prophets and men corrected from other old tales. Consider some new software, Quran is the .exe, but the Prophet is the application consultant who showed us how to apply it, His sayings contain hundreds of prophesies, but thats another blog page. Half or more of the signs of day of judgement have passed. The prophesies regarding excess killing and floods and quakes are in the process of fulfillment. Thanks for the forum.

Narrated Asma' bint Abi Bakr:

He stood up straight again and kept on standing for a long time, then bowed a long bowing and then stood up straight and then prostrated a prolonged prostration and then lifted his head and prostrated a prolonged prostration. The implications go beyond pets. Lets take a look at ecology and deforestation, and the destruction of animal habitat all over the world. For example - we should all feel responsible for the current trend of polar bear forced to leave the arctic in search of food. Polar bears have actually been spotted in grizzly bear habitat - but they don't have a clue on the food forraging methods of the grizzly. Let's take it easy on the climate change trend and avoid playing the role of the woman in the hadith/customary narrative (who could have been a good religious woman otherwise).

As described in the link; it is apparently inflammatory to accuse Israel of perpetuating racism as claimed by Ahmadinejad.

Now, lets THINK about htis clearly. Take a step back and look at the big picture. Why did delegates stage this walk-out, when here is what was spoken through a translator:

It appears that in popular american media, references to Islam and Arab culture are extremely defamatory, derogatory, and downright inaccurate. I strongly believe that muslims in the world need to form a body that will not only counter these views, but also create a forum where we can justifiably present our views on western/semitic culture. It could be in the form of a cartoon like South Park, or movies, or a weekly interenet broadcast series. Whatever it is there must be some kind of fire with fire measure. God has all the Power and is worthy of All Praise, regardless of what lies media cowards want to spread, but we really need to make that clear.

Atleast its a relief, with all of the ills of the earth there is still this promise from our Creator to revive and ressurect; a parable for the day of judgement, yet with factual environmental implication nonetheless.

I'm not certain if that Yoga Guru coined the phrase, nevertheless it rings true in multitudes of ways, more than we can even imagine. The complex nature of the body relies on balance which is maintained or disturbed by additions - food; and external effects - environment. The saying rings true not only for food and environment in the literal sense, but also metaphorical "food" and it's effects on intellectual and spiritual balance should be of great concern.
Hence the purpose of this blog is to attack the disturbing effects of negative stressors in the world be they material, intellectual, or spiritual in nature. Similarly we will explore means of maintaining a healthy balance of our World Body with suggestions on 'nutrition'. With the advent of the "Global Village" came a completely new ball game. It no longer suffices to look only within the boundaries of one's nation/locality for the answers to broad ranging questions as was the case over 1000 years ago when the world was split up into various empires. Personally I oppose the New World Order as proposed by our not so humble ruling elite. However I do believe that a Global Order can be attained, in fact this is the best solution. ONLY if such an order has been established. The Global Body and ALL of its constituents will begin to value itself with the same level of value one would give thier internal organs. What's the point of success when you're mising a bladder?? or your eyes, etc..??
